After Sony found out that some people have been having some problems with trophies tracking, they made firmware 3.15 mandatory. This firmware was release on December 9th, but became mandatory just a day ago.  If you haven't updated the system just yet, make sure you save some time for the update, as its not the short one. It will be easier for you to just download the upgrade onto your flash drive and upgrade from there.
